Introduction

The ClearSCADA Import Wizard imports objects from a ClearSCADA export file (*.sde) into Fernhill SCADA.

Caution Caution: There is no guarantee the imported configuration will work as intended.
After running this tool, you should check the imported configuration is safe to use.

Using the ClearSCADA Import Wizard

To import configuration from a ClearSCADA export file:

  1. In the Tag Window, right-click the folder where you want to import the configuration.
  2. From the menu select Import followed by Import a ClearSCADA Export File...
  3. The first time you run the import wizard a disclaimer dialog will open: Disclaimer about importing ClearSCADA configuration.

    If you do not want to see this dialog again, select the check box "Do not show this in future".

    Click Yes to accept the disclaimer and open the File Open dialog.

  4. Browse to and select the appropriate file.
  5. Click Open to start reading the ClearSCADA export file:

    After a short while the Work in progress dialog will close and the import summary dialog will open:

  6. Click Yes on the ClearSCADA Import Wizard to start the import:

    The Import Configuration dialog remains open while the configuration is imported:

    When the import has finished, the Import Completed dialog opens:

  7. Click OK to close the Import Completed dialog.
  8. The ClearSCADA Import Wizard will open the Import Report providing a summary of what was imported from the project.
