Introduction

The DNP3 Channel Tag Channel Tag Icon provides a SCADA communication channel to DNP3 Outstations.

Configuration Properties

The DNP3 Channel Tag supports the configuration properties of the Active Channel Tag plus these properties:

Property Type Version Description
SourceAddress UINT 3.46 The DNP3 Source Address used by Fernhill SCADA.
DataLinkConfirm USINT 3.46 Defines when the driver uses Confirmed Data when sending a data link message to the Outstation. The options are:
  • Never (0): The driver sends all data link messages to the Outstation using unconfirmed data.
  • For Large Messages (1): The driver sends application frames that require multiple data link frames using confirmed data. Application frames that fit in a single data frame are sent using unconfirmed data.
  • For All Messages (2): The driver sends all data link messages to the Outstation using confirmed data.
DataLinkRetries USINT 3.46 The number of times the driver will try to send a confirmed data link frame before the request is failed.
DataLinkTimeout TIME 3.46 The time the driver will wait for a confirmed data link frame to be acknowledged.
