DNP3 Control Relay Output Block Tag

Introduction

The DNP3 Control Relay Output Block Tag configures a Binary Output Control to a DNP3 Outstation.

This tag supports the following Point Models:

Activation
Complementary Latch
Complementary Two Output

Note: This tag does not monitor the state of the Binary Output in the DNP3 Outstation. To monitor the state of the Binary Output, do the following:

Configure an I/O Digital Data Point Tag.
Set the IODataSource property to the DNP3 Outstation.
Set the IOItemName property to the address of the Binary Output.

Configuration Properties

The DNP3 Control Relay Output Block Tag supports the configuration properties of the Common Core Tag, plus these properties:

Outstation	Reference	4.34	A reference to a DNP3 Outstation Tag.
PointNumber	UINT	4.34	The point number of the binary output in the DNP3 Outstation.
PointModel	USINT	4.34	The point model of the binary output. These are the options: Activation Complementary Latch Complementary Two Output
PulseCount	USINT	4.34	The number of times to pulse the output. Note: This is the requested number of pulses. The DNP3 Outstation may not be capable of more than 1 pulse. Available if PointModel is set to Activation or Complementary Two Output.
PulseOnTime	TIME	4.34	The duration of the pulse. Note: This is the requested duration of the pulse. The DNP3 Outstation may only be capable of a fixed pulse duration. Available if PointModel is set to Activation or Complementary Two Output.
PulseOffTime	TIME	4.34	The time to wait after the pulse. Note: This is the requested wait time. The DNP3 Outstation may only be capable of a single pulse, or a fixed wait time. Available if PointModel is set to Activation or Complementary Two Output.
Action1Description	STRING	4.34	A description to associate with: The Pulse Action when the PointModel is Activation. The Latch On Action when the PointModel is Complementary Latch. The Close Action when the PointModel is Complementary Two Output.
Action2Description	STRING	4.34	A description to associate with: The Latch Off Action when the PointModel is Complementary Latch. The Trip Action when the PointModel is Complementary Two Output.

Data Properties

The DNP3 Control Relay Output Block Tag supports the data properties of the Common Core Tag plus these properties:

Property	Type	Description
ConfigState	UINT	The state of the configuration.
ConfigErrorMessage	STRING[64]	An error in the configuration of the tag.
LastControlStatusSource	UINT	The origin of the LastControlStatus and LastControlStatusMessage properties. No control status information is available. An error in the control parameters was detected by the driver. The control status is derived from the IIN in the reply message. The control status is derived from the CROB reply.
LastControlStatus	UINT	A status code associated with the most recent control.
LastControlStatusMessage	STRING[128]	A text string describing the result of the most recent control.

The DNP3 Control Relay Output Block Tag supports these tag commands:

Tag Command	Version	Description
Write	4.34	Used to send a control when the PointModel is Activation.
WriteValue	4.34	Used to send a control when the PointModel is Complementary Latch or Complementary Two Output. The Value parameter is a BOOL value where: TRUE requests Latch On or Close actions. FALSE requests Latch Off or Trip actions.
