Security Camera Driver

Introduction

The Security Camera Driver provides an interface to IP Security Cameras that support the ONVIF Protocol.

Using this driver you can:

Retrieve snapshot images from security cameras. The retrieved images can be:
- Shown on Graphic Pages.
- Provided to OPC UA Clients from the OPC UA Server.

The driver provides these tag types to support communication with Security Camera Devices:

To configure Fernhill SCADA to work with a security camera:

Create an IP Security Camera Tag. Configure these properties of the tag:
- Set the Host property to the address of the Security Camera.
- Set the UserName and Password properties to match a user account configured in the Security Camera. Note: The user account must permit access to the camera using the ONVIF standard.
Create a I/O Bitmap Image Tag. Configure these properties of the tag:
- Set the IOImageSource property to the name of the tag created in step 1.
- Set the IOImageName property to a media profile configured in the Security Camera.
