DisableAlarms Tag Command

Introduction

The DisableAlarms Tag Command disables all alarms associated with a tag.

Parameters

None.

Remarks

An Alarm is an indication of an abnormal condition, which requires human intervention to correct. See Alarm Handling for an overview of alarms in Fernhill SCADA.

Users can Disable an alarm to prevent it from appearing on alarm information screens. This may be appropriate if the alarm is a nuisance alarm caused by a faulty sensor or intermittent connection.

You can execute DisableAlarms Tag Command from:

From an Operator Action using a TagDisableAlarms Function.
From a Program Tag using a TagDisableAlarmsFB Function Block. See Example Program to learn more.
The Standard Tag Menu when used with one of the tags listed in the Applies To list.
The .NET API. For an example see Executing a Tag Command from .NET Code.
The Java API. For an example see Executing a Tag Command from Java.

To use the DisableAlarms Tag Command, the user must have the Disable Alarm User Right.
