Graphic Editor Multiple Views

Introduction

SCADA Graphic Pages can be shown on different format display devices. For example:

A normal monitor (16:9)
An extra wide monitor (21:9)
A smart phone

SCADA Graphics designed for a normal monitor do not always display well on different format display devices. For example:

On an extra wide monitor, there would be unused space at each side of the display. For example:
On a smart phone, the user would need to hold the phone in landscape orientation to get the best view of the graphic page. Research shows the most natural way to hold a smart phone is in one hand in portrait mode. When a smart phone is held this way, a graphic page created for a normal monitor is difficult to use:

Fernhill SCADA allows you to create multiple views for each Graphic Page. Each view can target a different display orientation and aspect ratio. For example:

View Format	Best fit for
Landscape (297.0 x 210.0)	Normal monitors, smart phones held in landscape mode.
Portrait (210.0 x 297.0)	Smart Phones held in the portrait mode.
Extra Wide (490.0 x 210.0)	Extra wide monitors.

When a Graphic Page is shown in the Operator Interface, the Operator Interface automatically selects the view that best fits the screen.

Adding a View to a Graphic Page

To add a View to a Graphic Page:

Edit a Graphic page.
Right-click the top of the Graphic Page.
Choose an option that does not have a check mark.

Removing a View from a Graphic Page

To remove a View to a Graphic Page:

Right-click the top of the Graphic Page.
Choose an option that has a check mark.
