Introduction

The Add Plot Tool allows you to add an Embedded Plot to the drawing canvas.

Adding a Plot

To add plot to the drawing canvas:

1. Select the Add Plot Tool .
2. Choose the plot tag from the tag browser.
3. Click OK to close the tag browser.
4. Press the mouse button down on the drawing canvas to start adding the plot.
5. Drag the cursor to define the size and orientation of the plot.
6. Release the mouse button to complete adding the plot.

As an alternative you can embed a plot tag by dragging and dropping from the Tag Window:

1. Select the Plot Tag you want to embed in the Tag Window.
2. Drag the Plot Tag onto the drawing canvas.
3. Select Embed Plot from the pop-up menu.
4. Use the Select Shape Tool to position and size the embedded plot.

Modifying an Existing Plot

Use the Selection Methods and Tools to:

• Select a Plot.
• Reposition or resize the Plot.

When a Plot is selected, use the Properties Window to change the properties of the Plot.

Temporarily Changing to Select Mode

While in add embedded plot mode you can temporarily switch to the last select mode, by holding down the <Ctrl> key down.
