Introduction

The Trend Plot shows how SCADA measurements vary over time:

Navigating with the Mouse

To pan the trend plot left or right:

  1. Press the mouse button down on the X axis or the data area.
  2. Move the mouse left or right.
  3. Release the mouse button.

To zoom in to see data in more detail:

  1. Move the mouse to the center of the data of interest.
  2. Roll the mouse wheel forwards.

    Note: One mouse wheel click forward zooms in by 20%.

To zoom out to see a wider time span:

  1. Move the mouse to the center of the data of interest.
  2. Roll the mouse wheel backwards.

    Note: One mouse wheel click back zooms out by 25%.

Display Pen Data Values

To display the raw data values associated with a pen:

  1. Right-click the pen at the bottom of the trend.
  2. Select Display Data Values.

To display the raw data values associated with all pens:

  1. Right-click the main trend area.
  2. Select Display Data Values.

Read Values Using the Ruler

The Trend Plot supports a vertical ruler, allowing you to display the pen values at a point in time:

The time the ruler represents is shown above the graph area. The values of each pen at the ruler position are shown in the pen area at the bottom of the trend.

You can display or hide the ruler using mouse clicks on the graph area of the plot:

EffectAction
To show the ruler Click the graph area of the plot.
To hide the ruler Click the ruler in the graph area of the plot.
To move the ruler to a new location Click a new location in the graph area of the plot.

Navigating Using the keyboard

Use these keys to change the X axis of the trend:

KeyAction
Left ArrowMove the trend to the right to see earlier data.
Right ArrowMove the trend to the left to see later data.
Ctrl + Left ArrowView the previous time interval
Ctrl + Right ArrowView the next time interval
Up ArrowZoom in the X axis by 20%.
Down ArrowZoom out the X axis by 25%.
HomeReset the position of the X axis back to the default
InsertToggle between tracking mode and fixed mode.
In tracking mode the X Axis moves with current time.
In fixed mode the X axis is stationary.
