Introduction

When the Operator Interface is connected to a Fernhill SCADA Server, a toolbar is usually displayed:

Note: This image shows the default toolbar. Your system integrator can change the toolbar to show different options, or remove it completely. The icons you see may be different to those shown here.

The toolbar may be displayed vertically or horizontally. The operator interface chooses an orientation that gives the maximum area to the current page on display.

The default toolbar provides these commands:

Tool Description
Navigate back button Navigates back to the previous page.
Navigate forward button Navigates forward to the next page.
Navigate forward button Navigates to the home Graphic Page.
Alarm bell button The Alarm Bell button flashes when new alarms occur.
Click the alarm bell button to cancel the flashing effect and display the Alarm List Page showing the current alarms. On some versions of the Operator Interface, an Alarm Bell Sound will be heard while the Alarm Bell Button flashes.
Show events button Displays a List Page showing the most recent events.
Menu button Opens the Operator Interface Menu.

Note: Commands not available are dimmed.

Alarm Bell Sound

On the Windows, Linux and macOS versions of the Operator Interface a bell sound will be heard when there are new alarms.

The Alarm Bell Sound will not be heard if:

Use either of these methods to disable Alarm Bell Sound:

To open the Operator Interface Menu, click the top right menu icon Menu icon.

The Operator Interface Menu provides these commands:

Command Available On Description
Disconnect All Versions The Disconnect command does the following:
  1. Disconnects the Operator Interface from the Fernhill SCADA Server.
  2. Displays the Start Page.
Reset View All Versions Resets the current display to its default position.
Alarm Bell Sound Windows
Linux
macOS
Toggles whether the Alarm Bell Sound is enabled.
Save As... Windows
Linux
Saves the current display to a file.
Print... Windows Prints the current display.
Note: This option is not currently available on the Linux version of the Operator Interface.
Help Windows Displays this help page.
Note: This option is not currently available on the Linux version of the Operator Interface.
About All Versions Displays a dialog showing the version information of the Operator Interface.

Note: Commands not available are shown in gray.

Toolbar Tooltips

If you position the mouse over a toolbar button, a tooltip will be displayed providing more information about the button:
